Belturbet Festival of The Erne 2013

We are pleased to welcome you to our website for the upcoming Festival of the Erne 2013. This is our 36th year celebration and we are making a big push to show what Belturbet and it’s community have to offer.

The Festival of the Erne in Belturbet Co.Cavan is well known as one of the largest festivals of its kind in the region and 2013 will host a programme of great variety for all the family. From pig racing to a bonny baby competition, the festival has something to offer everyone of all ages.

Kicking off with the Lady of the Erne Competition, there will be eight fun filled days for all the family including a treasure hunt and kids fancy dress, and also the Northwest's largest adults fancy dress which this year will include street entertainment and cash prizes. The Festival of The Erne 2012 which ran from the 29th July until August the 6th has been a massive success and we wish to thank everyone involved, the committee and all who gave up their time to help and to all who got involved - roll on 2013!!
